Our Story

DMOC Support Services was founded in Wolverhampton by a team with deep roots in NHS and community health settings. After years of working within statutory services, our founders recognised a consistent gap: individuals leaving inpatient care, transitioning out of residential settings, or managing long-term conditions often fell through the cracks of the formal system.

DMOC was created to fill that gap, providing structured, consistent, and person-centred community support that connects people to the resources, routines, and relationships they need to live independently and with dignity.

We operate exclusively across Wolverhampton and the West Midlands, keeping our work local, connected, and accountable to the communities we serve.

A Message from Our Founder

Dear Referrer or Service User,

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about DMOC Support Services.

When I founded DMOC, I did so because I had seen first-hand the profound difference that consistent, caring support can make in a person's life. I had also seen what happens when that support is absent, and I knew we could do better.

Our name stands for what we believe in: Dignity, Motivation, Opportunity, and Care. These are not aspirational words on a wall. They are the lens through which every support plan we create is shaped.

We are a small, dedicated team. We know our clients by name, by their goals, and by the challenges they face. We work alongside statutory services, housing providers, NHS teams, and families, because good outcomes are almost always the result of good collaboration.

If you are considering a referral, or if you are an individual or family looking for support, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We will respond promptly, honestly, and with care.

Our Values

D

Dignity

Every person we support is treated with unconditional respect. We never reduce someone to their diagnosis or circumstances.

M

Motivation

We believe in each person's capacity to grow. Our role is to encourage, challenge gently, and celebrate progress.

O

Opportunity

We work to open doors to education, employment, community participation, and a life beyond the support system.

C

Care

We are genuinely invested in the wellbeing of those we support. Care is not a service we deliver. It is how we work.

Our Commitment to Safety and Professional Standards

DMOC Support Services Ltd operates in accordance with safeguarding principles and professional care standards. We are committed to ensuring that every individual receiving support is protected, respected, and treated with the highest standards of care.

Our operational policies include:

  • Safeguarding Policy — We follow strict safeguarding procedures to protect adults at risk in line with statutory guidance. All staff are trained and know how to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.
  • Lone Working Policy — Clear protocols are in place to ensure the safety of our staff when working in the community, including check-in procedures and risk-based planning.
  • Health & Safety Policy — We maintain a safe working environment for staff and service users, conducting regular reviews and risk assessments across all areas of our operations.
  • Risk Management Procedures — Individual risk assessments are completed for each person we support, informing care planning and ensuring proportionate, safe, and person-centred delivery.

These policies are reviewed regularly and made available to referrers and commissioners upon request.

What Makes Us Different

NHS-Founded Experience

Our team brings direct experience from NHS and statutory services. We understand pathways, systems, and how to work effectively alongside professional referrers.

Person-Centred Approach

We start with the individual: their goals, strengths, preferences, and circumstances, not a template. Every support plan is co-produced with the person it serves.

Community-Embedded Practice

We are rooted in Wolverhampton and the West Midlands. We know the local resources, services, and community networks that make a real difference to people's lives.
